Kenley for CFS2
Kenley is the first known airfield that I have done. It is a photo realistic scenery of the Battle of Britain airfield on the North Downs, South of London and to the West of Biggin Hill. I have created it using ground polygons made from 62 aerial images turned into a large bit-map and cropped into smaller 256 by 256 bit-maps and then created as an Airport file using CFSMAP by Martin Wright then compiled into *.bgl format for use in the game. I used BMPCROP, BMP2000, and CFSMAP by Martin Wright the Flightsim graphics genius! It has 4 Belfast hangars, and 6 blast pens all by Mike Rennie plus Barrack Blocks and Armory by Ralf J. Triebel.

This is a screenshot in top down view in CFS2. As can be seen the aerial images for Kenley are much more detailed than the default CFS2 ground textures but still manage to blend in quite well.

This is a wide angle view of Kenley which I got from Multimap.com. Unfortunately since completing Kenley they have changed their supplier of aerial images in order to get most of England and Wales but this meant losing the high detail ones that I used to make Kenley with.
