NFA3: Hurn Airport
Hurn airport is still in use today as Bournemouth International Airport. It is gradually increasing in popularity and it did have a visit from Concorde in 1997 to celebrate the completion of the runway extension.
As can be seen from the aerial view below many of the dispersals still exist and some have been re-paved for extended use. The airfield is used by an operator of historical warplanes such as Hawker Hunters.
Hurn will be the third airfield in the New Forest Airfield series. Work will start once RAF Oulton and Winkton ALG are complete.
